NetRAID 4M, clearing event log

I have an LH6000 server (in a bunker) with a NetRAID 4M running SCO OpenServer, and I was wondering. How can I clear the event log without rebooting the server, using only the 'hpncli' tools?

CPU4: WARNNIG: AacHba0:ECC event log is full, current correctable count = 0x19

Above is the message I am receiving.

Physical access to the machien is not possible. Access via the management port is also not possible (no physical phone lines, and no serial terminal devices local enough to connect too, ignoring the fact that it isn't configured).

Or do I have no choice but to get someone infront of it?

What version of SCO Open Server are you running? What version of the HP TopTools are currently installed?

Your HEL should not be full on the server. You should get someone in front of the server, get the Hardware Event Log and see what errors you have. I would imagine that it is full of single bit errors or some other error that continually writes independant of power cycles. Also look at clearing CMOS and flashing the Bios to ensure that it isn't a false error being logged. Greg, thanks, but err, it's not the Server's event log. It's the RAID controller's event log.

Terri, OSR5.0.5, but no version of toptools currently installed (I wasn't aware one was available for SCO, let alone when we put the server in (roughly a year ago now)).

I take it, given your question, that it is possible through a recent version of the TopTools, but not with the currently installed utilities?

Do recent versions of TopTools require a reboot upon installation?
