Netserver 5/166 LS4

Purchased used 5/166 LS4, previous owner cleared NVRAM by jumper get an error 0905 upon bootup, Need to know how to correct this problem. I can still boot up after hitting escape key. I updated bios and ecu configurations, but still get the error. I also need the configuration CD. The only software that was provided was a diag disk(passes all test)
Can anyone help?

Re: Netserver 5/166 LS4

Hi,

Generally error 905 during POST means that the NVram is cleared by a jumper. Check the jumper status -Is the jumper back in it's original position?

Can you try booting from the ECU diskette and select option 3) View or edit details. Then press F10 to finish the setup and finally select step 5 ( save and exit) and Enter to reboot the server.

This may help you.

Re: Netserver 5/166 LS4

Much Thanks,
Once I got the case off and looked around a bit, found that BIOS is controlled by dip switches, reset the switch and the error is gone.
Now im off to install an OS on it.
Thanks again.
