Netserver E45
A local church has a HP NetServer E 45 that has a maxxed out hard drive (1.91 GB drive with 1.83 GB used space, 76.4 MB free). They want me to put in a larger HD...Possible? Practical? What areas of concern?
What other somewhat inexpensive solutions are there? They are going to need to replace one machine anyway....thoughts?
TIA

Re: Netserver E45
The E45 was supplied with an IDE and PCI Ultra/Narrow SCSI controllers. Listed as supported were the D4884A D4963A D4910A D4911A, 2, 4 and 9 GB drives. Or 1,2,or 4 GB IDE drives. So you should feel comfortable replacing the old drive a new IDE or SCSI drive in the unit. But unless you have a backup device, transfering the OS could be more difficult. contact us if you need more help
