Netserver LC II won't boot after bios update

Hi everyone,

I just bought a second hand Netserver LC II off a company liquidation. I tried installing a second P2 400Mhz, but soon noticed this wouldn't work. Anyway, after this I performed a bios update on the netserver to get it up to date. After doing this it gets stuck in the booting sequence. I can't even get in the bios setup.

Does anyone know how this can be fixed? I already cleared the CMOS memory, but that didn't work either.

I hope somebody can help me, thanks in advance.

remove the cpus and make sure they are similar. Then reinsert one at a time, see if one is bad

Well, on the bright side Pentium IIs seem to be availible at really cheap prices on eBay: http://computers.search.ebay.com/Pentium-II_Desktop-PC-Components_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR40QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsacatZ3667 :-)

Re: Netserver LC II won't boot after bios update

Hello All,

========================================
Can anyone tell me how to enter the BIOS setup on an HP Netserver LH Pro?
========================================

I need to get it to boot from a CD, therefore I need to change the boot sequence.

I tried F1, F2, and DEL during the boot. But the server just loads the OS from the HD.

Booting from disc works fine.

I checked the jumpers on the MB (#4 will lock the cgf) - and they are fine.

The setup discs do not help - missing a file name !HWP2090.CFG - can not find it on the Internet.

Thanks for any help.
