Re: netserver lc2000 u3 & sco openserver 5.0.5
Hi,
I solved this problem!!
I downloaded the latest version of the 'slha' driver from www.lsilogic.com (BTLDPCI 4.11.00 - 08/29/00 ) and all works fine..
I love it when something works...

Re: netserver lc2000 u3 & sco openserver 5.0.5
Actually, the correct driver is on the NetServer Navigator CD (diskette 7) that are released with the U3 series.
It is a driver with an issue though, although most people probably will not encounter it:
If you install SMP without having the second processor installed, the driver will crash upon boot-up. HP have been notified of this.
Another thing that this controller does different from it's non U3 predicessor is the ID of the adaptor.
THe 53c1010 onboard is seen as Adaptor 1, not Adaptor 0.
Thus the tape install will be:
Controller: slha
Adapter: 1
Bus: 0
ID: 2
LUN: 0
(or whatever the ID of the drive is).
Another thing to be careful of is the RS505a. As with RS506a, I beleive it installs a more recent version of the 'slha' driver than comes with the OS. This will over-write the 4.11.00 version of the driver if you have installed it before the RS.

One long-haired git at your service...
