NETSERVER lh 5/1000 bios crash?
Hi
I recently tried to update the eeprom on the Netserver to get into the bios settings, but the machine crashed and now will not start?
Does anybody have any ideas to sort the problem out , either by refreshing cmos or alike?
Many thanks

Re: NETSERVER lh 5/1000 bios crash?
Hi Paul ,
I think that this is a rather old Netserver. Generally , if your system crashed during a BIOS upgrade , it is
an unpleasant situation because only an
HP Authorized Service Center can help you , replacing the ROM chip or the whole System board ( except if this is a very good and new server , like the HP ProLiant DL380 G3 which has a redundant System ROM : http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantdl380/questionsanswers2-g3.html#2sw).
This page may also be helpful : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=tis11399 .
Good Luck
