Re: Netserver LX Pro
your LXPro does have a NetRAID card ?
Onboard are adaptec SCSI controllers.
If it does have a NetRAID card and it isn't displayed during power on self test I'd try to reseat it, try a different slot and try to clear the CMOS.

Re: Netserver LX Pro
Another remote possibility is that your controller is a Mylex controller which provides hardware RAID but uses a floppy to boot into the Jetset utility instead of using CTL-M. If you do have a Mylex controller, HP did not provide any Windows 2000 drivers.
The product number if it is a Mylex card is C3610 or C3310.
Finally, if it is a Netraid card, you might pull it from its current slot and try a different slot, preferably 1, 2, or 3. Simply reseating a controller can sometimes allow it to reestablish a lost connection.

Re: Netserver LX Pro
It is a mylex not a Netraid controller. We had an identical server here at my location that had a Netraid controller so I just assumed it had one as well.
I have 2 questions,
Can I still install Windows 2000 server using the mylex card and where can I download the boot floppy for the mylex card to configure it?
Thanks again for the help.

Re: Netserver LX Pro
I'm not sure but it sounds like it was a PCI Mylex controller. The Jetset utility is called the HPDA Configuration utility at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=15593&taskId=135&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=62431&submit.y=8&submit.x=11тМй=en&cc=us&swEnvOID=54#182
Mylex was recently acquired by LSI but you might try Mylex in Google and see if it redirects you to LSI for any Windows 2000 drivers they have.

Re: Netserver LX Pro
And , if I remember correctly my onw tinkering with it a couple of years ago, the i960 chipset normally supported in Windows 2000 as a DAC960 controller. Otherwise, try and tweak something with the NT drivers available at http://www.lsilogic.com/downloads/selectDownload.do. But, now I think of it, you might need the drivers on a disk as well for installing extra I/O drivers during win2K setup (F6! F6! Don't forget the- ... too late). Goodluck!
