power usage
Hello,
my LC2000 has 2 power supplies. Can I run it with only one power supply connected to save power? (and connect the other one if the 1. one fails)
Are there other possible ways to save power?
Thanks for help.

Re: power usage
Assuming the server is not "fully loaded", you can run on one power supply. Fully loaded typically means you have something like 6 x 36 (or larger) drives installed. No other way to save power. Running out of outlets?

Re: power usage
Hi,
Wether you connect 2 power supplies or single power supply, the power consumption would be the SAME.
It is better to go for connecting both powersupply, since you will get redundcy.
With Regards,
Siva.

Re: power usage
Estimated, the two power supplies are for redundancy therefore if it trumps one other one continues working without interrupting the service, the consumption will be always the same one with one or 2 power supplies.
