Re: Processor cache mismatch
Which Netserver did you purchase? Are you trying to flash the BIOS from a navigator CD or from the Web? Are you getting the error on POST as well or just when you try to flash the BIOS? If you are trying to flash from the navigator CD that came with the server I would recommend flashing the BIOS from the Web as you probably won't have the latest Navigator CD if you purchased a used server. You can find the files for all of the NetServers from http://netserver.hp.com/support/drivers_software/drivers.asp
Before you flash the BIOS make sure that you clear the CMOS, you'll have to confirm which switch it is as it varies on Netservers, but it is normally switch 5 on most NetServers. Then after you clear the CMOS, boot into F2 to save and exit because you will have an incorrect system configuration message after clearing the CMOS. Then flash the bios from the web. If you are still getting that error 0215: processor mismatch, do you have multiple CPU's? Check for steppings and if possible flash the bios with only a single CPU installed, no PCI cards and base memory.

Re: Processor cache mismatch
You need the LX Pro ECU as this is an Eisa based machine. I would definately Clear CMOS and then boot to the ECU disk to view the settings. I would also physically compare the CPU's on that LXpro as you want to have CPU's with matching cache but have the 256 in the primary slot. Without an LXpro to look at off the top of my head I think it is either switch 4 or is a jumper to clear CMOS. They are usually located near the system battery.
