Processor Upgrade Maximums?
I am searching the HP site, and can't seem to find the maximum processors for some older systems.
Here's what we currently have available to use:
2 x Intel PIII-1000/256/100/1.7V (SL4KL) Processors with VRM's
Here's my HP Server list for 100FSB servers:
LPr - P1738A - PIII-800/100 (single)
LPr - D9431A - PIII-650/100 (single)
LH3r - D9344A - PIII-600/100 (single)
Can any of these accept one or both of the 1.0 GHz processors I have available?
Many thanks in advance,
... Andy Wood

Re: Processor Upgrade Maximums?
I can give you the HP tested answer - HP did not test any 1 GHz CPUs in either the LPr or the LH3/LH3r. So the tested & supported answer is no. You might search the ITRC to see if any users have successfully done it. The concern of course is damaging the system and/or processor board.
