red hat linux 7.1 in lh4
is there any way to load the symbios module. There is a message like: "Cache test failed" and insmod fails too reporting problems with irq-i/o system

Re: red hat linux 7.1 in lh4
That seems bad. What module is probing when you get this error? 'sym53c8xx' ? or another one (namely ncr53c8xx) ?
Given the IRQ errors however, I'd check the BIOS and see what you are and are not sharing IRQ wise, and try to resolve that issue first.
Whilst i've not used an LH4 for Linux, I have used an LH3 (little brother, only dual-processor), and it's big brother's (LC2000/LH6000) with completely successful results, with RH 6.2/7.{0,1,2}.

One long-haired git at your service...

Re: red hat linux 7.1 in lh4
Hi Stuart, first thanks for your answer; i'm trying to load sym53cxxx module, in fact as anaconda starts, it tries to load that module, and second you are right, it's an irq-i/o problem.I used bios settings to fix an irq for the embeded scsi and not to share this one but it didn't work, that's all.
