Seagate disk and LC2000r
Can I stick a Seagate Cheetah SCA scsi drive (ST336607LC) into the hotswap tray of a LC2000r? Will it work and be detected?
Thanks
Shawn

Re: Seagate disk and LC2000r
Shawn,
The hdds will probably not work on a netraid controller as third party hdds often didn't communicate well on the fw level. You can try to have the drive set on SE and see if that works. If you want to use those hdds, you would be best off with a third party array controller as well.

Re: Seagate disk and LC2000r
Steve,
We do beg to differ. Even if you read the one thread that he sent above, the one subject of the lC3 from Terry at HP, the assumption that other disks than "HP" branded ones will simply "not work" is unfounded. We supply replacements that have worked for years. We test all our replacements on NetRAID and onboard controllers in Netservers to guarantee this. Do not be concerned that the disk you use is not â HP
