Re: TC4100 Crashes

I assume you are not seeing a Windows BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)?
1. Check to see if ASR (Automatic Server Restart is enabled in Windows. If so, disable it so you can hopefully catch more error information.
2. Any errors in the Windows System log (aside from "unexpected shutdown")?
3. If server is attached to UPS, try it on an alternative power source.
Is the server "loaded"?

Re: TC4100 Crashes

The server is not loaded it runs lotus notes
thats all it normally runs at 5-10% cpu with normal higher bursts. system restart is turned on, and there is no other messages no mem dmps or amy other logs generated. I have seen it reboot there is no blue screen either.

Re: TC4100 Crashes

I would recommend turning off the Windows ASR - there just isn't enough info yet to determine where the problem might be.

Is the server connected to its own UPS? Might want to try an alernative power source.

I would suggest emailing the Windows system log to HP server support at:

nacmsupport@hp.com (include tc4100 in the subject line)

I would also install the HP Instant TopTools program, then use the REPORT option to save & email this report as an attachment. ITT is available from here:
