TopTools for Servers
I can?t install (localy) the Tooptools for server version 5.02.
I get the folowing error:
Can?t contact the server
I supose that I can?t install it because I have applied the security checklist.
What I have to do to install it.

Re: TopTools for Servers
We had also some trouble installing agents on 'hardened' systems. We had to start several NT services and enable system shares (C$ and d$). So it is best to install the agents before applying security settings.
I would also reccomend to install at least 5.03 agents.
Regards and good luck,
Alexander

Re: TopTools for Servers
did you install TopTools Device Managment, netserver agents or istant toptools?
I suppose you speak about istant toptools, because TTDM is to be installed on a dedicated server or workstation to remotly manage all the machine in the lan.
-for installing localy istant toptools you have to be adminitrator and to launch the setup, this will ask you to choice the installation of agents and/or istantTT
-when installed you can access to the web interface if you have installed a browser.
Be sure to "exclude proxy server for local addresses" and enable Java
-you can access remotly to the web interface connecting to " http://servername:280 "
hope to help you
