W2K on E45 Netserver
Anyone have a method to install W2k on an E45? It installs okay and runs fine EXCEPT that the floppy controller and floppy drive are not installed. I have seen this on three separate E45's, all with latest bios and W2K SP2.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Paul

Re: W2K on E45 Netserver
As you have discovered, the Netserver E45 is not compatible with Windows 2000 (any version). This is why HP is not able to support it.
The problem with the floppy drive is the most commonly reported issue when W2K is actually installed. Here at Hewlett-Packard we have not seen any work-around to this...

Re: W2K on E45 Netserver
Thanks for the reply, and that is what I was afraid of. Will the E60 board fit into the E45 chassis? I have several clients with these E45's, which I have turned into termservers. But the floppy drive thing is definitely the problem.
Have you seen any other problems with w2k on the E45's?
Thanks,
Paul
