will clear CMOS destroy disk info
I have an LH PRO, which comes with error 1c1c after I added memory. System won't boot from ECU floppy. Yes, the floppy light blinks after boot, it will then display the error, check all the SCSI devices and then stop with F1 to press (I have no configuration utility).
I now want to reset the CMOS, but am afraid it will destroy may Windows 2000 multi-volume disk setup. Is there any risk that this setup will be destroyed? I have one disk as system disk, and the other 5 in a multi-volume setup.
Thanks, Jozef

Re: will clear CMOS destroy disk info
Jozef,
There is always a very small chance that clearing CMOS or flashing BIOS will prevent you from being able to boot back to your NOS. I can only think of one time over the last couple of years that this happened to someone out of thousands of other times that it went without any problems. Clearing CMOS won't affect your array configuration, it only sets your ECU back to default settings. The error you have you need to clear CMOS and then flash BIOS and save your ECU.
You can get the latest bios and ECU config utility for the LHPro here:

Ciao,
Greg
