Boot from iSCSI storage for Windows and Linux

Hello expertise

I have a customer they wants to boot from MSA1510i or DL380 (NAS) (OS will be Windows or Linux) through iSCSI protocol.

- all servers must boot from iSCSI storage (OS will be windows or Linux)

May I know does the Windows or Linux support boot from iSCSI storage ?

If yes, may I know which HP Storage array is support both Windows & Linux ?

Are there any weak point ?

Thanks a lot
Eric

Re: Boot from iSCSI storage for Windows and Linux

Hi,
as I can see the only supported OS for MSA1510i is Windows 32-bit.

about linux and iSCSI boot (but I don't know if it is supported with MSA1510i)

Thanks Slawomir Gora

So the MSA1510i is not certified the Linux boot from iSCSI in this time.
May I know any other iSCSI storage is certified to support Linux (such as:DL380 (NAS) + iSCSI feature pack) in this time.

If not, may I propose the MSA1000/MSA1500 to support the Linux boot from SAN.

Thanks a lot
