Compaq S1000 Drive Replacement

How do you determine which drive has failed in the array?

Would DR3 = the slave on the IDE2 connector? (ie are the drives numbered 0,1,2,3) with 0 the master on IDE1 Connector, 1 the slave on IDE1, 2 the master on IDE2 and 3 the slave on IDE2?
