Email Alert on NAS1000

I'd like the NAS sends an email when an alert is raised (a failure disk for example).
I sucessfully received email with the "test" button, but the status window is always empty ("normal") even if errors appear in the system log. So no email is sent.

Have I to configure anything to make the status change if errors events occured ? In which case are Alerts displayed on the status window?
