NAS E7000 V2 - Possible Deadlock Condition
Hi,
I have 15 NAS E7000 V2 systems and randomly about once a month they come up with a popup on the console with the message: Windows Exception - Possible Deadlock Condition. They are running SP3 with the latest MS security and hot fixes and are SAN attached to EVA SAN's. Securepath version is 4.0A.
Anybody any ideas for an solution? Workaround is to reboot the system.

Re: NAS E7000 V2 - Possible Deadlock Condition
Are these systems clustered or stand-alone? What protocols are you using on it (CIFS, NFS, HTTP, etc.)?
Is there anything that is occurring just prior to these errors (i.e. an exceptionally high-traffic day, or an idle day, etc.)?
Are there any errors or messages in the event log?
Not that I think it's related to your problem, but you really should upgrade to the latest SecurePath (4.0C), and should also consider going up to SP4.
At least then, you can call in to support for help. If you call in right now, they'll probably tell you to upgrade Secure Path, and maybe even to apply SP4.
