NAS E7000, virtual nic team locks server up

Hi,
We have a single E7000 with a 4 port 10/100 35xx/45xx nic pci card installed.

I was dissolving the exisitng team as it only correctly used 2 of the 4 ports with a view to teaming the 4 ports into 2 virtual teams, whilst doing the removal the server locked and went to bsod with "system failure cpqteam.sys"(i may be wrong on the whole string but last bit is correct).
Now when I reboot I have 4 nics in network management and 1 virtual team, I cant remove the virtual team as it locks the server when I try, it doesnt show in the cpqteam GUI and Ive tried uninstalling it from hardware devices but get the lock up. I also have the two original virtual team mini ports on the hardware list but havnt tried removing them yet.

I cant get the machine back on the network as regardles of the changes I make to any of the NICs(real or virtual team) in network maangement, MS client and file and print services always ucheck them selves.

Whats best to do? Reinstall the latest cpqteam software? safemode and try and remove the virtual nics?

Im seriously at a loss now so any help will be mucho appreciated.

Thanks,

Have you tried to remove the team in SAFE mode?

Hah, that did it, wasnt really thinking clearly late last night.
Safe mode - remove all virtual nic devices
Reboot and install the newer NIC drivers fo rthe cards fromsmartstart 6.40 cd and HP teaming drivers, reboot and all four ports are now teamed and running sweeet.
