Storageworks 1200s Question
I can find no information about the IDE RAID controller in these boxes. Is the RAID function of the IDE controller even hardware based or purely software RAID run through the CPU?
Any answers would be appreciated.

Re: Storageworks 1200s Question
Here is the link to the QuickSpecs: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11684_na/11684_na.PDF
The RAID is software RAID only, using Microsoft Windows' LVM. The OS volume is LVM Software RAID 1, with a backup OS partition configured the same way. The data portion is RAID 5 across the remaining space on the 4 PATA drives.
There is no IDE RAID controller, or hardware RAID.
