HNS 7.1.50, VirtualBox 5.0.20 on Windows 7 - NOPE - I thought I had it working....
I was just about to downgrade VBox, when I find this fix that worked for my setup:
(from https://abouthpnetworking.com/2014/04/28/hp-comware-simulator-7-1-50-released-for-public/
under a comment by Wan on June 25, 2014 (and my edits for Win7))
1. went to Control Panel > System and Security > System.
2. On the "Compute Name" line, I opened "Change Settings" whtch opened the System Properties.
3. Advanced tap, and clicked Environment VAriables.
4. There was already a VBOX_MSI_INSTALL_PATH defined. So I added a new variable (according to the distructions given by Wan):
VBOX_INSTALL_PATH = C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\
I was then able to run HNS , load the default project, and it created the VBox VMs for me to boot.
HOWEVER, the VMs never actually boot to a prompt.
