host ip

Hi, could someone explain to me how to add a host machine (pc) with a IP so i could connect it do a switch with and run some tests? I have hcl 7.1.59 with virtual box that comes in package. I can make anything I want with the switches, works great. But I cant find a menu that has the "enter IP' for that host pc option?
