Connect anywhere with Wi-Fi 7 and private 5G
Ready to start your journey to security-first, AI-powered networking? Start with Wi-Fi 7 and private 5G.
This blog is authored by Janelle Acevedo, Global Program Manager at HPE.
First Wi-Fi 7 APs that deliver more
Wi-Fi 7 is here. The new Wi-Fi 7 standard (IEEE 802.11be) builds on the capacity gains of the 6 GHz spectrum and introduces improvements to increase density and delivers reliable low latency connectivity for the highest-performing Wi-Fi available. But the standard alone is not enough.
Wi-Fi 7 provides new ways to leverage Wi-Fi to support more users and IoT devices and meet demanding AI requirements. Learn about the importance of the 6 Ghz band and how to get the most from the innovations in the Wi-Fi 7 standard from HPE Aruba Networking experts Madani Adjali and Gayle Levin, including:
- Wi-Fi 7 technology advances, including multi-link operations (MLO), 320 MHz channels, and 4K QAM
- Global 6 GHz spectrum adoption
- Key Wi-Fi trends and use cases driving innovation
- How HPE Aruba Networking Wi-Fi 7 delivers more capabilities to address increased security and AI requirements

Second. Private 5G to meet your most complex connectivity needs
Private 5G is gaining momentum in the market, redefining how organizations can deliver everywhere wireless coverage by augmenting Wi-Fi networks. In the past, private cellular complexity held back enterprise adoption. With HPE Aruba Networking, you can offer your enterprise an end-to-end private cellular solution that's easier to purchase, deploy, and manage.
Private 5G allows enterprises to deploy dedicated cellular resources based on the latest 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards, which cover all types of cellular communication technologies, including radio access, core network, and service capabilities. Compared to 4G (also known as LTE), 5G is based on the latest 3GPP standards and features lower latency, higher capacity, and increased bandwidth offering:
- Separation from public networks
- Fine-grained, predictable QoS
- Clean spectrum protected from wireless interference
- SIM-based device identity
- Ability to cover larger areas
- High-speed mobility for improved handovers
“These technologies [private cellular and Wi‑Fi], as distinct as they are, will coexist for the foreseeable future — and indeed complement each other in most scenarios,” according to IDC. In this IDC Spotlight, discover the leading trends, potential benefits, and challenges your organization may face as you explore delivering everywhere connectivity by combining private 5G and Wi-Fi — and how HPE Aruba Networking can help you on your journey.
Additionally, to learn more about private 5G, including key private 5G use cases and, how private 5G compliments Wi-Fi, attend our upcoming webinar The future of connectivity: private 5G meets Wi-Fi, featuring Karim el Malki, HPE Aruba Networking CTO and co-founder of Athonet.
Together. Seamlessly connected Wi-Fi 7 and private 5G.
With Wi-Fi 7 and private 5G, enterprises benefit from seamless connectivity everywhere.
HPE Aruba Networking Wi-Fi 7 APs go beyond the latest standard to maximize wireless performance, strengthen network security, enhance location-based services, and act as a secure IoT platform, enabling enterprises to maximize the value of their wireless investment and unlock operational efficiencies.
Our private 5G offering augments Wi-Fi and is designed to be simple enough for enterprises to adopt as a complement to their existing Wi-Fi networks. Built on mobile core technology
from Athonet, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise acquisition, it scales from 50 to 500,000
devices and enables segmentation of mission-critical traffic, wider area coverage, predictable QoS, high-speed mobility, and superior indoor cellular coverage.
In large public venues, Wi-Fi 7 APs can be deployed to deliver the ultimate fan experience while private 5G supports mission-critical applications for retail and ticketing with dedicated, wide area coverage.
But there’s more
With the recent enhancements to HPE Aruba Networking Central, enterprises can now streamline network management through AI-driven automation and enhanced contextual observability, to address the challenges of complex network environments. New Central introduces notable advancements in the speed and breadth of AI capabilities, including:
- Third-party observability to minimize the complexity associated with multi-vendor tool sprawl
- AI-powered insights to increase automation, helping organizations scale and grow
- Streamlined configurability to drive rapid deployment of complex network environments, helping make network operations teams more agile.
Stay all connected and all protected with HPE Aruba Networking.
