Network setup wizard -group policy blocking client pc
I have a laptop which used to be part of a windows 2003 domain.
I'm now trying to set a home network up using the network setup wizard but its says i dont have sufficient permissions even though im an administrator on the local pc.
I think it was the group policy on the server which switched off the network wizard??
How do i switch it back on, on the client pc
any help will be appreciated

Re: Network setup wizard -group policy blocking client pc
Is there a group policy directory in c:\windows\system32? If so delete it and reboot.

Re: Network setup wizard -group policy blocking client pc
Hi,
Run gpedit.msc if you are not on network (Logged in locally) then check the effectedpolicy. Which is clumsy process.
Alternate Connect to domain then run Install GPMC.msi thwn run gpmc.msc then run gpros using the same select you computer and user logged in then you can verify the effected policy in a single go.
Regards,
Prashant S.
