Setting SNMP trap on Linux RH AS4
Since there is no ISEE client for RH AS4, I'd like to enable SNMP traps for the Linux box and send this to OSEM to get to our ISEE backend.
I also don't see any IM agent support for Linux running on Integrity servers, which is why my only recourse is for the SNMP traps.
Is there a procedure on how to do this?
Thanks,
Leo Angeles

Re: Setting SNMP trap on Linux RH AS4
Leo,
It's simpler than your thought. All you have to do is to configure SNMP to send trap to the IP (or FQDN) of the CMS (the one has OSEM and ISEE running) Server.
On the CMS, add the Linux hostname to Managed Systems page.
Now try to send a trap and hope it would work, if not, you may need to configure Community name according to OSEM Installation Guide.
Hope this helps,
