請問vms license 是確認機器型號還是實際cpu數

我在license key上看到這一行

Hardware-Id:CPU_SOCKETS=4

這是指我的實際cpu數量不能超過4顆嗎?

如果我的機器是rx7 or 8系列的

但是cpu沒有超過4顆,license key要怎買?

是指此 PAK 只能用於有 4 個(or 4 個以內) processor module 插槽 (rx26xx or rx46xx) 的 systems (some cpu module contains more than one CPU!)



至於合法可用的 cpu 數量則由 PAK 上的 "NUMBER OF UNITS" 決定(即 PPL, Per Processor License).



例如您有一張 PAK (NUMBER OF UNITS=2 and Hardware-Id:CPU_SOCKETS=4),



-此 PAK 可用於 rx4640 or rx2600, 但只能合法使用 2 CPUs.



-此 PAK 無法在 rx7or8 系列使用.



-若 rx4640 有 8 CPUs (in 4 processor modules), 則必須再買 3 張 相同的 PAKs, 或 再買 1 張 (NUMBER OF UNITS=6 and Hardware-Id:CPU_SOCKETS=4) 的 PAK.
