10g Rac question..

I have 10g Rac installed, I checked a vip created on host, I dont see IP under cluster/package configs. And nor I see a Ip configured through /etc/rc.config.d/netconf. These are IA hosts, not sure what could be other way here. Any idea.

Hi,

VIP uses ifconfig to put Virtual IPs, that's why you didn't find any ip addresses in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf.

are u talking about the CRS package IP or the heartbeat IPs?

The Oracle VIP is managed by Oracle. It does not show up in the package control scripts of SG or in the netconf config files.

You should refer to

http://docs.hp.com/en/8831/10gRAC

and search for "VIP" in there. Also refer to the Oracle Metalink notes referenced in there.
