I can't find any 11.0 binaries for Samba so I installed the 11.11 binaries. However when I tried to start it it couldn't find certain modules within the libraries. Is it ok to install 11.11 binaries on an 11.0 system?

Solution
Hi Radhe,
Use the HP Samba product - CIFS.
Available here:
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8725AA
It's Samba through & through but has the added benefit of being HP supported and the best thing is its FREE.
HTH,
Jeff

Re: 11.0 and 11.11 binaries
Nope. That almost NEVER works. 11.0 binaries will normally run on 11.11. But 11.11 binaries will hardly ever run on 11.0.
How about the CIFS9000 stuff from HP?
HP CIFS Client (Allows HP to mount Windows shares)
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8724AA
HP CIFS Server (Allow Windows to mount from HP)
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8725AA
HP CIFS is available for 11.0, 11iv1 (11.11) and 11iv2.
