11.0 N4000 hangs on boot

I installed a patch "swinstall -x patch_match_target=true -x autoreboot=true -s $DEPOT_SERVER:$DEPOT $PATCH"
PATCH=PHKL_22941
While the system was coming up it hung just before starting the rc startup. /sbin/rc2.d/S900networker[26] basename: not found was echoed to the console. What would cause that?
I ^/ to continue on...
then I get ping: sendto: no such file or directory and then the rc scripts are run. Once the box was up I had a new core file. In the core was some stuff regarding ping.
What is that about? Where can I send that core to get it looked at?

Many thank yous,l

From what I've found, that patch is a subsystem i/o cumulative patch....

But your question was what to do with your core file that got created...What you want to do is run the Q4 utility on the core file. Now if you can decode these things than your set. For myself, I place a call to HP and establish a call ticket and send the results of the Q4 analysis to them to 'decode' and have them respond.
Here's a couple threads to explaining it and how to do Q4

Re: 11.0 N4000 hangs on boot

Rita, thanks for your reply. However, I may not have
explained myself very well. There isn't a crash.0 like
there when the box crashes. This is just a coredump.
I'm I jumping the gun here or is q4 just for crashdumps?
