With the release of the new 11i v2 (11.23) September 04 which supports IA64/PA-RISC, can I update directly from an L2000 running 11.00 to 11.23?

Re: 11.00 to 11.23 September Version
You should check if your server model is supported by 11 v2(11.23). Since its an L2000, I am 99.9% sure the OS is supported.
If thats true, update-ux should be able to do the job.
I'd be a lot more comfortable doing a cold install of the OS though.

SolutionAll of my updates (from 11.0 to 11i) to date resulted in failures/problems in some form or another that I ended up re-imaging for 11i anyway.

Re: 11.00 to 11.23 September Version
If your applications are supported, going with 11i v2 is better, leaving you a longer OS life cycle prior to being forced to upgrade due to obsolescence.
