Could any body tell what is the diff between 11.23 and 11.31 and what is 11.31 update 4
and what are the key feautres and commands in the 11.31 comparing to 11.23

I seached in many sites.. but its not clear

You will want to scan the notes beginning with 11.23 proceeding through the update release of 11.31 you want to install.

The 11.31 release has had a 6-month set of updates released, each titled "update". The fifth update just appeared last month (September).

In 11.31 there is many changes and update made from 11.23: quaite a few to name like:
- The new mass storage stack has been implemented. i.e the Native multipathing software is inbuilt with 11.31 os.
- SAM replaced by SMH (System Management Home page.)
- Device naming convention : introduced agile addressing. /dev/disk/diskXX

Shalom,

11.23 and 11.31 are Major OS releases. Lots of new features.

NFS v4 is only available with 11.31 for example.

There are significant updates of either OS, released on the Core OS DVD every six months.
