11 v3 using SMH for custom tools.
We just migrated over a system to new hardware running 11 v3 on our old system we had a account on the called acctadm that would launch sam in a Exceed X Window for our service desk folks to do password resets.
How would I go about duplicating this functionality (keep it in a x window) for our service desk folks with SMH preferably with them not having to see the web interface.
Any ideas or suggestions.

Shalom,
useradd acctadm
give it a password
sam -r
This will let you build a restricted sam shell for this user.

Re: 11 v3 using SMH for custom tools.
SEP, problem is there is no SAM in 11.31 ...
How about a plain script for the password reset?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
