11i cold installation

Hi

I'm after clarification of whether I can select which disk is used during a 11i cold installation.

The docs only say that after configuring the installation (advanced install) a confirmation screen lists the disk to be written too.

Hi,

while installing OS using OS media or by Ignite, you have option to select the disk for root. After installtion you don't see any confirmation screen which list the disk. The root disk can be makeout using
#vgdisplay -v vg00

Neil

Sorry , slightly misread your question

A default root disk is chosen during the guided installation. You can make another select with the use of the PDC
