11i upgrade
If I have the 11i Enterprise-OE, can I upgrade the OE components with a standard OE CD or do I need the Ent-OE CD's?
Thanks

Re: 11i upgrade
You'll need to get the Enterprise OE media set. The codewords for the extra products would be disabled on the Ent. cd's so that they would install without any extra input on your part. There isn't a 'switch' that we could give you to turn that on with your base 11i cd's.
Hope this helps!

Re: 11i upgrade
Would it make sense just to upgrade the core components with the OE CD?
Where can I get a OE media kit from, normally they come in the mail.. but I never received my Dec2002 pack.

Re: 11i upgrade
You can. However you will not be able to upgrade the additional softwares that you got with Enterprise-OE CD as they are not available on basic CDs.
What are the components that you want to upgrade?

Re: 11i upgrade
If you've enabled software update manager (SUM) on the ITRC, you'll be in charge of ordering software when it's most convenient for you. If you haven't used SUM to order software and your support contract covers the media, you can call 1-800-386-1115 to have the media ordered for shipment.
On the flip side, you can install the products that you are licensed for from the application cd's that you have now...you'll just need the codewords to unlock the products. It just comes down to what you find more convenient.
Regards,
Eric

Re: 11i upgrade
If you are referring to patches, you can order the CDROM or download them from:
http://us-support2.external.hp.com/common/bin/doc.pl/screen=commonExtensionSW/sid=9d85487e127a630078
You might note that the HP-UX 11i Quality Pack (GOLDQPK11i) bundle is refreshed in June and December only.
Regards!
