You also want to press the REPLY button when making another entry related to this problem. Otherwise, you will create a new message string each time, and it will be harder to keep track of your progress and the answers you get.

SAM still does not recognize even the Ethernet port associated with lan0: it keeps reporting that the server does not have network cards installed, and won't show a single card.
We have replaced the kernel with a former version that used to work perfectly well with all the network cards installed in the server.
We are now attaching a file with the output to the commands suggested by Harry Brown.
After reporting "ifp: bad read", "lanscan" only shows a line full of garbage.
