2035N and HPUX - hppi -s setup??
Dept secretary just purchased a 2035N printer to connect to our HP/UX box..
Using "hppi -s" to define the printer we get an error:
Spooler:
1) Add printer to local spooler
2) Delete printer from local spooler
3) Modify existing spooler queue(s)
4) Install New Model Script
5) Remove Model Script
?) Help q) Quit
Please enter selection: 1
Enter the network printer name or IP address (q - quit): 10.X.XXX.XX
!! 10.X.XXX.XX is NOT an acceptable name!!
Either it is NOT a network printer or this host is denied access
to it!
We've I am able to get ICMP ping response from the printer, SNMP is enabled. IP6 disabled, any Ideas appreciated. We've watched our fire wall log, it indicates opening a port from the HP host to the printer on SNMP port.
Any insight appreciated on how to set this up. There is an HP driver for UX for this device.
Downloaded and installed on host.

Re: 2035N and HPUX - hppi -s setup??
checked an existing 2035 that did print correctly, it was using 9998.cfg rather than the 2035.cfg.
