24-bit graphics for HP744

We have a system with an HP744 in a VME chassis. We're using an HP PMC bridge card for a secondary graphics device. We use the bridge card to drive a secondary display. Both the on-board graphics and the bridge card only support 8-bit pseudo-color.

Does anyone know if we can get a PMC adaptor that supports 24-bit true color? Is there a way to get a bridge card with 2 adaptors that support 24-bit true color and disable the on-board graphics?

Thanks for any help.

Re: 24-bit graphics for HP744

hi micheal,

The 744 supports a few different graphics options

These are

A4267A 8 plane gsc graphics
A4315A 8 plane hcrx graphics
A4316A 8 plane hcrx graphics

The hcrx graphics are only supported at 72mhz and 75mhz though at 1280x1024

They also support upto graphics adapters.

Have alook at these links for the manuals
