appreciate if anyone can tell whether 715 series machines can run HP-UX 11.0

As per the 11.00RelNotes in /usr/share/doc:
Release 11.00 provides 32-bit support for the following workstations:
712
715/64 715/80 715/100 715/100XC

It would appear that the answer is yes and no.
Check out the matrix at this web site: http://www.hp.com/workstations/products/unix/operating/support_matrix/update.html

The 715 cannot be updated to the 11.00 release but can be updated to ACE9911, which is a version of the 11.x release. Further it is supported only on 715/64, 80, 100, and 100XC. It is not supported on 715/33, 50 or 75.
