9000/C110 boot problem

Ran fsck on the root volume and now it won't reboot. It gets stuck on system
check screen but does not perform any checks (black screen with yellow bars at
bottom).

I can't reach the Boot Console Interface using escape. Any suggestions on how
to access the interface so I can boot of the cd-rom and re-install software?

Monitor is a A4331A if it matters.

Thanks

Seems you met a h/w problem. Power off your workstation, reconnect keyboard and
mouse then try again.Try other keyboard if this don't work.

Have you been able to correct this boot problem? I am in exactly the same
situation. I have disconnected the scsi disks in order to force a boot
failure. This did not help.

Exactly how far along in the boot process are you both getting, and what error codes are you getting?

If you cannot boot to ISL, then it is very likely that you have a CPU problem. Have the HP engineer check out and diagnose the problem for you.
