Well those work. Not sure what was different other than vi would have problems with the long lines?
How do you turn off greasemonkey? I make the monkey frown but the tables are still sortable.

If you use "about:config" you can find
greasemonkey.editor and change it. I was grepping my .firefox files and found prefs.js and then google found:
