a problem about ssh
so I have do some check on the ssh server.
hp9000:/#swlist -l product |grep -i secure
Secure_Shell A.04.00.002 HP-UX Secure Shell ------->the ssh product
openssl A.00.09.07e.012 Secure Network Communications Protocol
hp9000:/#/sbin/init.d/secsh start ------->start sshd successfully
HP-UX Secure Shell started
HP-UX Secure Shell started ssh hp9000
The authenticity of host 'hp9000 (10.1.101.1)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is 5e:14:cd:be:17:e4:8c:54:db:b8:58:10:7e:6f:cd:32.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes
Warning: Permanently added 'hp9000,10.1.101.1' (RSA) to the list of known hosts.
It seemed I can ssh myself on the server.
so could you do me a favor to solve the problem about using putty client to connect with hpux11.11?thanks!

Re: a problem about ssh
putty has no problem connecting th secure shell. I use it daily.
There is a problem with the RSA finger print stored locally on the PC perhaps that needs to be removed so that it can be updated.
The version of secure shell on the server is very problematic and should be replaced with a stable version from http://software.hp.com
tail -f /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
Do a connect and see what errors are generated.

Re: a problem about ssh
You can remove RSA information for HP-UX server on client where you are trying to kickoff putty session. check properties for that session and then try to reconnect it.

Re: a problem about ssh
I use putty (0.51) without any problems.
also, my version of Secure Shell is as old as A.03.81.002
Make sure your configuration is ok. You may view the attached document...
Also, you may wish to upgrade to the latest version:
