Is swap device necessary there for 10.20 (755)to boot? Thanks

You must have at least a small amount of primary swap on the boot disk. It does not have to equal the amount of installed memory.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Hi George,

Yes, I believe a primary swap device - usually /dev/vg00/lvol2 - is necessary. It's not necessary that's it large - it just has to exist & be accessible.

Yes, you must have a primary swap device. See man lvlnboot.

Yes, its required to have swap and it should be contiguous logical volume.
