A5506B 4Port LAN Adapter and UX 10.20

I installed a 4Port LAN Card on my J5600 with UX 10.20. I'm not able to find the right driver. The class is still unknown. Where can I get the right one?

You should be able to find the software on one cd of the application cd set.

You probably don't want to hear this - but - you do know that HP "discontinued" 10.20 on June 30th of last year, and it will be "obsoleted" next Monday, don't you?

Quick trick,...

Mount the first apps CD.

Go into the mount directory, perform an 'll *' and look for a file named "CD_TABLEOFCONTENTS" or similar (can't remember presisely where the underscores go). This file holds a list of all patches / products on all Application CDs in the set you have.

vi the file and search for your LAN Adaptor Model Number, then scroll backwards to see which CD it is on.

This saves a lot of guesswork. Share and Enjoy! Ian
