A6825A ioscan output
Hi all,
I've just installed the A6825A gigabit ethernet card. And doing an ioscan there was something that caught my attention when comparing it to the other interfaces (100BT).
Please find attached the output of the ioscan.
What troubles me is that for that particular interface I don't see the device files I expected to see (comparing with the other interfaces) I mean I don't see something like /dev/lan3, /dev/diag/lan3, /dev/ether3.
By the way I already did:
# insf -C lan -e
But nothing changed in the ioscan output. I also activated the card temporarily
# ifconfig lan3 x.x.x.x netmask 255.255.255.0
And it came up fine.
swlist shows the following:
GigEther-01 B.11.11.07 PCI GigEther;Supptd HW=A6794A/A6825A/A6847A
Is the attached ioscan output normal or is there something still missing/misconfigured with this card installation?
I just want to be completely certain before putting it into full production.
Thanks a lot,
Manuel
