We have received a new shipment of AB545A LAN card (4 Port, Gigabit).
However, this part number is not displayed either on the card or with ioscan output.
However I am confused if the part number that we have ordered is the one we received.
I dont know if there is a way to check the part number of an installed lan card.
I need help from you on the following
What is AB545A and what is AB545-60001?
Even the available documentation for AB545A from HP website (http://docs.hp.com/en/AB545-90001/AB545-90001.pdf) gives reference to AB545-60001 in ioscan output.
What does 60001 stand for and what is the significance and what does "A" at the end of the name, AB545A stand for?
Sorry for the stupid questions, but this is quite confusing for a novice like me.
Thanks in advance for you time and help.

Re: AB545A lan card displays AB545A-60001 in ioscan
This is not a big deal.
The part is supported, ioscan simply shows more information than you expect.
The part number matches you are good to go.

Re: AB545A lan card displays AB545A-60001 in ioscan
what you have is correct
AB545A = is simply the full product number you would normally order from a reseller or HP.
AB545-60001 = is just the spare part number for the same card, likewise
AB545-69001 = is just the exchange part number of the card, meaning you have to return a faulty one back to HP.
all these part numbers will be displayed as yours do in ioscan
there should however be a part number sticker on the card, with one of the above.
