Re: about boot my system
Is there anything on the console that would indicate an error or why it fails to boot?
How far in the boot does it get, have you been able to "boot pri" and interact with the ipl and try to boot off of a previous kernel or other modes?
What about attempting to boot from the support media?

I would boot from a support CD and check your disks, you mentioned you couldnt boot from the tape? What errors are you getting?
Is it a make_recovery tape?
