Access Control List prevents VPN?

A user cannot VPN into a machine from a certain IP range. Is there an ACL that is implemented that prevents him from doing so?

Re: Access Control List prevents VPN?

Unless you or someone in your organization configured an ACL for this, there is no reason one should exist. There are several other possible causes, can you supply us with more details?

Generally, this is going to be more related to a networking firewall then to an ACL.

Re: Access Control List prevents VPN?

ACL's can not do that.

You might be able to block certain protocols with a /var/adm/inetd.sec file but these are login protocols and VPN doesn't work with HP-UX like that.

It has to be firewall or networking.

Re: Access Control List prevents VPN?

Hi,

The problem may be due to the subnet mask on the lan card that you have set on your server. Talk to your networking folks.

Hope this helps.
