Access via modem to HP systems
After reading the forum message about "serial communications" from last 3/27/02, I began thinking that this could be a good thing to get working. Unfortunately I can establish, via hyperterm a connection to the predictive modem, but I never get anything after that. No characters on the screen. I've tried setting the emulation on the pc to just about every option it has with no luck..... Any suggestions would be appreciated as we had a situation with our firewall/VPN that prevented me from accessing remotely this morning.

On the 3 H50's and the E30 HP50759B (MT224BA)
On the two L's MT5634ZBA (couldn't find HPXXX type info) and who knows on the K box. Entries in the /etc/inittab look like "a0:3:respawn:/usr/lbin/uucp/uugetty -r -t 60 -h ttyd0p7 19200" They all say 19200 even the oldest ones which are max of 2400 I think.
